About Zain R. Ghul, PA-C

My passion for the field of neurology began when I was a kid after learning about the brain in a science class. That passion continued into my studies at the University of Virginia where I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Cognitive Science with a concentration in neuroscience and psychology. I received my masters of physician studies degree from Mary Baldwin University in Staunton, VA. Whilst completing my physician assistant training, I did my clinical elective in Neurology at the University of Virgina. During my time at UVA I gained experience in diagnosing and treating many neurological conditions, primarily those regarding movement disorders. I was fortunate to learn chemo-denervation for movement disorders using EMG and migraines during my time at UVA. I also learned about pain management working closely with anesthesiologists during my surgical rotation.
When I’m not practicing and learning medicine, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I also enjoy reading, hiking, and playing volleyball whenever I can.
